Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between margin and markup?
Margin is profit divided by price; markup is profit divided by cost. A 50% markup is a 33.3% margin.
Why is my margin negative?
The selling price is below cost. The tool shows the loss instead of hiding it behind a rounded percentage.
