About this tool
Builds hreflang link tags from language and region pairs, validates the codes, and ensures reciprocal entries including x-default. It warns about duplicate language-region combinations before you paste the tags.
How to use it
- Add one row per language and region with its URL.
- Set the x-default URL, usually the global or English version.
- Copy the tags into the head of every page in the cluster.
Frequently asked questions
Do the tags have to be reciprocal?
Yes. Every page in the cluster should list all versions, including itself. Asymmetric clusters are ignored.
Should I use hreflang or separate domains?
Both work. Hreflang describes the relationship; it does not change the URL structure you already have.
