About this tool
Converts CSV or tab-separated data pasted from a spreadsheet into an aligned Markdown table for README files, wikis and issues. The first row becomes the header, pipes are escaped and columns are padded for readable source.
How to use it
- Paste CSV, or copy cells straight from a spreadsheet.
- Choose the delimiter and column alignment.
- Press Convert and copy the Markdown.
Frequently asked questions
Can I paste directly from Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes. Copied cells are tab-separated; leave the delimiter on Auto-detect and they are recognised.
What happens to a | character inside a cell?
It is escaped as \| so it does not break the table.
